Fukushima - live with the nuclear disaster

The devastating nuclear accident at Fukushima five years ago has driven a wedge in the Japanese population. Uncertainty about the invisible danger has led to the loss of friendships and relationships and splits former village communities, families and spouses. After intensive decontamination evacuation zones will be gradually removed, but so far only a few atomic refugees have returned. Around 100,000 people are still living in barracks.

"World Journal" - Japan expert Judith Brandner shows on their journey through Fukushima on the human tragedy of the nuclear disaster.
